We launched a company to raise money for the families of fallen officers. It’s pretty simple. Quality clothing featuring thin blue line designs. We’re hoping first-responders and their supporters purchase our items and wear them proudly.
The political climate surrounding law enforcement isn’t fair, but is to be expected. An overly left and liberal media have taken a stronghold on our profession, but we must push through this and show the people we serve that we are better than what’s portrayed. The morale of our sisters and brothers in blue has sunk to historic lows. Even worse, police officers are hesitating -worried about how the situation might look- instead of identifying the threat and handling the threat decisively.
Four officers I worked with and knew well were murdered last year (2016), another three were attacked and somehow survived. One of my fellow brothers took his own life leaving behind his wife and children because the pressure and stress of the job was too much. I’m tired of all the negativity spread throughout our Country. I’m tired of learning that my friend has taken his own life, or been murdered, or attacked SIMPLY FOR BEING A COP.
There comes a time in every person’s life when they take a stand. My time is now. I’ve launched this small clothing line (shirts, sweatshirts, beanies, hats, and decals) in an effort to donate proceeds to the families of fallen officers. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more engaged in the community and feel a strong sense of pride wearing a police badge. I want the families who lose loved ones to know that millions of men and women support them and are thankful for what they do. We risk our lives for you and all that we ask in return is support. Yes, we signed up for this profession, but we did not sign up to be hunted and killed for nothing more than wearing a uniform, badge, and gun.
Disclaimer: Cops who make mistakes should be held accountable. Cops who have become corrupt or turned to the dark side need to be identified and dealt with. We know these people and point them out to our bosses. Although the wheels of justice are slow, the majority of the bad apples are removed.
We want to make sure the families of fallen officers know, without a doubt, that they are loved and supported from people across the country. And, to be better.
